ZEELAND — Total Logistic Control announced its purchase of TSI, an over-the-road transportation division of TWL Corp. in Erie, Penn.

The move further expands TLC’s nationwide network.

The acquisition includes 39 tractors and 118 trailers, and an 18,500-square-foot maintenance and operations terminal. TWL has been operating in the greater Erie region since 1936.

Its TSI division is a regional truckload carrier primarily serving the food industry with dry and refrigerated transportation services.

TLC Vice President of Transportation Chris Kozak noted the company has been active in the northeast, and the acquisition provides additional inbound and outbound transportation capacity serving customers in Pennsylvania and New York.

The acquisition now provides more than 350 tractors with 560 dry and refrigerated trailers in the TLC fleet. The Zeeland–headquartered company provides third-party logistics and dedicated manufacturing services.
