GRAND HAVEN — Families in the Tri-Cities who are looking for a homebuilder now have a larger range of choices.

The added choice is Haworth Homes, a shoreline company operated by two local residents, George and Mark Haworth.

The two brothers report having years of experience not only in the housing construction industry, but also in remodeling homes, in refinancing resident properties and in real estate management.

They only recently established themselves in their own residential construction contracting firm.

George Haworth told the Business Journal that the firm is focusing not merely on residential construction, but on converting the often frustrating experience of having a home built into a much more pleasant process.

“We’re dedicated first and foremost, of course, to giving our clients a quality home that is precisely what they need and want,” he said.

“But we also take extra steps to make sure the process of creating that home goes as smoothly as possible. Our goal is to exceed customers’ expectations throughout the entire building process — before, during and then after.”

He said that thanks to the brothers’ depth of experience in remodeling and renovations, that they also have a special feel for interior work and how much it means to the owners. “Tour a model home,” he said, “and you’ll find many features that most other builders consider options, but which we offer as standards.”

He said the company’s signature elements are hardwood floors, custom window molding and fireplaces.

“The way we see it,” Mark Haworth said, “these ‘standards’ give us a chance to act on what we promise.”

The Haworths are residents of the Tri-Cities area and indicate they are not related to the furniture manufacturing family of the same name in Holland.
