GRAND RAPIDS — Dennis Hoyle and Tim Colthorp, long-time employees of CareerMatrix.com, recently purchased the Web site.

The two bought the site from American Careers Action Services Inc. and have formed a new company called NetOptions LLC, which will service CareerMatrix.com and other future ventures.

CareerMatrix.com is a Grand Rapids job-search engine, allowing members — both employees and employers — to seek the right job and employee for the position at hand.

“Both job seekers and member employers will continue to enjoy the high level of customer service we have always offered,” said Hoyle, speaking for CareerMatrix.com.

“Also, our online marketing will continue to bring us the record traffic we have experienced during the last six months, and we are increasing our marketing efforts to bring even more traffic to the Web site.”

They said the firm’s entire staff will continue working in their current positions.

Future plans include moving CareerMatrix.com to new and much faster Web servers, paving the way for increased traffic for the soon-to-be-launched Educational Career Center.

The Educational Career Center allows colleges, trade schools and universities to implement a full-featured Web-based career site for students powered by the CareerMatrix.com database.

“We are very excited about the change in ownership and we pledge to continue the hard work and creativity that has made us the success we are today and promise increased efforts to ensure out success tomorrow,” said Colthorp.
