GRAND RAPIDS — The 58th Annual Grand Center Sport, Fishing & Travel Show opens Thursday and runs through Sunday in downtown Grand Rapids.

Showspan Inc. producer Henri Boucher expects that 130 lodges, resorts, charter boat operators and fly-in destinations will join the state’s biggest collection of exhibitors offering fishing tackle, specialty baits and outdoor gear. A line of fishing boats will also be on display.

Show times are 3-10 p.m., Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for kids 6-14, while children 5 and under get in free.

The Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger food drive returns Thursday. Patrons who bring six non-perishable food items will get in free. Last year, 1,558 showgoers donated more than 14 tons of food for God’s Kitchen. This year’s goal is 20 tons.
