GRAND RAPIDS — The Spring Parade of Homes will be in full bloom starting today and running through June 7.

In its 44th year, the event features 170 brand new homes available to tour with information on construction, design, decorating and product ideas.

The parade features homes ranging from less than 900 square feet to over 13,000 square feet and from less than $100,000 to over $2 million. Walkouts, ranches, cottages, lakefront homes, homes on golf courses and homes in the woods all are available to see.

There are 131 single-family homes, 38 condominiums and one duplex, representing 130 different licensed builder members of the Home and Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids.

Homes are located from Lowell to Allendale and Wayland to Cedar Springs. Specialty features include cultured stone fireplaces, many painting styles and colors (one home boasts 23 colors alone), unique flooring, chef’s kitchens, indoor lap pool, solarium, circular staircases and more.

Tickets are available for purchase at all homes on tour. Adult ticket purchases also receive the official Parade Guidebook with features on each of the homes as well as tips on building a home and information on the housing industry. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children, ages 2-12.

Two parade information booths will be available this year offering free maps and a chance to view the renditions of all the homes. These will be located at Celebration Cinema and Studio 28 theaters. The official Spring Parade of Homes sponsor is Standard Federal Bank and all branches will have maps available.

An online tour is available at www.hbaggr.com, where visitors can view the maps, features of each home and builder information as well as renditions on all the homes.
