Rockford Putting Up Another Kreme
Dough-Re-Mi is the Krispy Kreme franchisee for Michigan and Rockford has built the firm’s Grand Rapids and Flint stores. The Lansing store will be 4,500 square feet.
“Rockford has a long history of building franchise stores. It’s a unique industry to serve. These businesses depend on construction partners that can meet their needs,” said Michael VanGessel, president of Rockford Construction.
Rockford is also building two Krispy Kreme stores in Indiana, but this time for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. The company has done building projects for more than 1,500 retail clients in 10 states and in Canada. Rockford expects to complete its 205th Family Video outlet, 30th Wendy’s restaurant, and 15th Meijer store this year.
CEO John Wheeler and VanGessel started Rockford Construction in 1987. Today, the firm has over 100 employees and offices in Belmont and Grand Rapids.
