BETHESDA, Md. — The ASCII Group Inc. (ASCII), last month announced accepting Aries Digital Media Group of Grand Rapids as a member of the group.

Aries is a full-service IT firm specializing in helping small-to-medium businesses apply and learn to use innovative technology.

Aries says that it provides a wide range of technology from custom system configurations, security, network design and deployment, to training and support with partners such as HP, Compaq, Intel, AMD and 3COM.

By providing that range of technology, Aries says that it can tailor technology to small-to-medium-size businesses that formerly had to go to a miscellany of vendors to acquire the same solutions.

Now, through its affiliation with ASCII, Aries says it will be able to make an even broader range of services available to clients. The firm will be eligible to participate in additional training programs, partnering opportunities and certification programs.

ASCII, founded 19 years ago, is regarded as the world's largest community of independent technology providers, resellers and value-added resellers.

Members must also agree to adhere to the ASCII Code of Ethics, in which they pledge to follow best business practices in dealings with their customers.

"We are proud to have Aries Digital join the 2,000 other ASCII members in North America," said Alan Weinberger, ASCII's Chairman and CEO.

ASCII has more than 2,000 North American members with system-wide end-user sales of about $10.5 billion.

ASCII provides technology tools, products and services to assist independent information technology resellers in increasing profits, reducing costs, and growing their respective businesses.
