Workshop Focuses On Nonprofits
The workshop, set for 8:30 a.m. until noon, Monday, Oct. 20, at Cornerstone Theological Seminary at Cornerstone University, will include several speakers on such topics as crisis planning, media relations, event planning, basic PR documents and brochures, crisis response, media strategy and event planning/corporate sponsorship.
Speakers include Roberta King, public relations and marketing director at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon; Terri Howe, owner and principal for Howe Marketing Communications; Heather Tomaszewski, event planner for Warner Norcross & Judd and owner of Soirees; Karen Aylsworth, vice president of Seyferth Spaulding Tennyson; Dan Spaulding, principal for Seyferth Spaulding Tennyson, Tim Penning, assistant professor of communications at Grand Valley State University; and Leann Standish, director of development at Frederik Meijer Gardens.
