GRAND RAPIDS — The curtain rises on this town’s customized version of TV’s “Punk’d” — called “Dunk’d” and starring CPA Paul Hense — at 7:26 a.m., Monday, Dec. 8, at the L.V. Eberhard Center.

It is the annual fund-raising performance of the Coffee Dunkers of America, an organization less well known as the “Self-Panicers Club.”

Admission at the door reportedly is $4.94 while advance tickets sell for $11.56 each.

Among the event’s targets — and shooters — are local personalities, office-holders, political aspirants and institutions.

Among the beneficiaries of the fund-raiser are Home Repair Services, God’s Kitchen, the Salvation Army and Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth.

The Dunkers report — seriously — that they also will make a contribution to the Joel Boyden Scholarship Fund of Grand Rapids Rotary.
