Hope Starts Consolidation Move
Hope reports that over the next two years it will spend about $12.5 million to build, remodel, consolidate and move portions of its operation to the site at 775-795 36th.
According to Derric Bakker, Hope’s vice president for communications, the completion of the project will enable the agency to serve people more efficiently. “We will actually reduce our facility costs by as much as $250,000 per year,” he added, “an important factor in today’s economic environment.
He indicated that the acquisition will enable Hope to combine numerous services at the campus.
Bakker indicated the new buildings also will allow Hope to improve the vocational training and employment services that it provides for people with assorted disabilities, plus the homeless and people trying to fit back into society after prison sentences.
According to Hope’s release, the purchase was arranged through Grubb & Ellis/Paramount.
Synergis will relocate its engineering and design services center and corporate office to two of its five facilities in Kentwood and Walker.
