ROCKFORD — Wolverine Boots and Shoes will be honored with the 2004 Plus Award for excellence in design in the work footwear category at the World Shoe Association show in Las Vegas tomorrow.

Wolverine Footwear Group has received the Plus Award for six consecutive years.

Footwear Plus, a leading trade publication, selected Wolverine Boots and Shoes for the award based on a poll of footwear retailers, manufacturers and industry leaders.

“We’re very honored to receive the Plus Award again because it’s voted on by the retailers,” said Ted Gedra, executive vice president of Wolverine Footwear Group. “It demonstrates their support of our goal to provide superior-designed and technologically-advanced work footwear for our customers.”

Wolverine Boots and Shoes unveiled what the company calls its “revolutionary” Wolverine MultiShox Individual Comfort System to retailers last July. The work boots will be introduced to consumers this year through a yearlong advertising campaign, according to the company.

The Fall 2005 MultiShox line includes several new styles. The work boots and shoes come with a 30-day comfort guarantee.
