Priority Announces New Policy
GRAND RAPIDS — Priority Health planned to unveil its new PriorityMedicare program this morning.
Priority Health recently received approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to offer the insurance policy to Medicare beneficiaries in Kent, Ottawa and Allegan counties. Priority Health is the first company to offer a Medicare Advantage plan in West Michigan that includes prescription coverage.
Priority Health said its new program is an alternative to the traditional Medicare that is available to retirees, and those that are eligible for the traditional program can choose the alternative offered by Priority instead.
Congressmen Vern Ehlers, R-Grand Rapids, and Pete Hoekstra, R-Holland, were scheduled to take part in this morning’s announcement.
