Huntington Plans Two Branches
GRAND RAPIDS — Huntington Bank West Michigan intends to build a new bank branch in Grand Rapids and another new branch in Holland this year.
The Grand Rapids banking office will be located at the new Bayberry shopping complex near M-6 and just across the street from the new Metro Health facility. The Holland office will be situated at the corner of Riley Street and U.S. 131 in an area that’s attracting a lot of commercial development.
The bank expects construction on both offices will get underway in April and that the branches will open in September.
The buildings will be the first two in the region to showcase Huntington’s latest building prototype.
Huntington Marketing Director Michael Lindley said the new Grand Rapids and Holland branches were the first new opportunities to arise for Huntington in this region since it opened the Wealthy Street office in 2003.
“We are continuing to improve, upgrade and expand distribution in West Michigan to better serve our customers in high-growth areas,” Lindley said.
