Hospitals Share Rehab

ZEELAND — Physical rehabilitation is the focus of a new collaboration between HollandHospital and ZeelandCommunityHospital beginning in December.

Zeeland Community Hospital Rehabilitation Services in Partnership with HollandHospital will provide rehab at the new Zeeland location, which opened in April.

"An intersection of mutual interests and opportunity provided us with a compelling prospect," stated Dale Sowders, president and chief executive officer of HollandHospital. "The Zeeland team was looking for a way to expand services into rehabilitation, and the Holland team was positioned to offer its rehab expertise in a model which reflects a true partnership."

Inpatient rehab is expected to begin in December and outpatient services in January.

Both hospitals are nonprofit organizations.
