Women's Foundation Honors Five

GRAND RAPIDS — The Michigan Women’s Foundation has selected five outstanding women who will be honored at its 18th annual bi-coastal Women of Achievement and Courage Celebrations scheduled for May 2 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids and May 16 in Detroit.

Each year, the foundation honors Michigan women who have shown outstanding leadership, service and vision that shapes the future of generations to come in Michigan and beyond.

Honorees this year include Beth Goebel, co-founder of the Permanence Project and the Donor’s Forum of Grand Rapids; Birgit Klohs, president of The Right Place; Marianne Udow, director of the Michigan Department of Social Services; U.S. District Court Judge Anna Diggs Taylor; and Gail Perry-Mason, author and first vice president of Oppenheimer & Co.
