MUSKEGON — Five more nights of music at the Muskegon Summer Celebration are expected to be added soon to round out the six concert dates already announced for the June 28 to July 8 event, said Tanya Gonzalez of the Summer Celebration’s staff.

Dates for the Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Rodney Atkins, Taylor Swift, B.B. King and the New Cars have been announced.

“We are working very hard to maximize our budget to find the best acts available for the festival,” Chairman Bryon Mazade said. “We think this initial group of artists offers a wide variety of music to our audience and provides a quality experience when patrons come to a Summer Celebration concert.”

Each concert is expected to be kicked off by a performance by a local band.

Individual tickets for the shows already announced are available at Star Tickets Plus outlets, including Michigan Meijer Stores and the FrauenthalCenter for the Performing Arts in Muskegon. Tickets are also available online at or by calling (616) 222-4000 in Grand Rapids or toll free at (800) 585-3737. Tickets, which range from $23 to $32, are cheaper if purchased by June 27. Tickets for ages are $10; and under age 6 are free.
