Same Tax Rate
GRAND RAPIDS — Kent County commissioners are expected on Thursday to adopt the same property-tax rate the county has assessed for the past four years.
“It didn’t change at all,” said Daryl Delabbio, county administrator and controller.
A levy of 4.2803 mills is used to fund the general operating budget, and that rate isn’t expected to change, even though the county can legally assess 4.32 mills, which would give the county an additional $80,000 to $100,000 in property-tax revenue.
The Finance Committee adopted the rate late week.
