GRAND RAPIDSKentCounty commissioners bought the property at

1234 Bradford St. NE
last week as part of their ongoing development plan for the county's Fuller Campus.

The purchase price of $112,680 meets the county's criteria of paying double the State Equalized Value plus closing costs for a property. Closing is expected to cost $1,900 and bring the transaction's total to $114,580.

What is unique about this transaction is network 180, which provides mental health counseling services, is donating $14,580 to the purchase. Network 180 leases a building on the campus from the county and plans to expand its presence there in the near future.

The county will transfer $100,000 from its unreserved balance in the general fund to its capital improvement program fund for the purchase.

The county has had a plan in place to expand the Fuller Campus on the south aide of this Bradford block for more than 30 years. Property owners on the block, which is just east of Fuller, are aware of the county's intention to buy their properties when they are ready to sell.
