GRAND RAPIDS — The Neighborhood Business Awards will be handed out Thursday evening at a gala ceremony to be held in the Wealthy Theatre.

About 90 nominations were submitted for the awards, which honor business owners in the city’s 20 business districts over a dozen categories.

The Neighborhood Business Alliance and Neighborhood Ventures jointly sponsor the annual event that draws attention to the city’s small and independently-owned businesses.
