Lake Michigan Credit Union broke ground Oct. 3 for a new branch outlet along the “Medical Mile” in downtown Grand Rapids.

The Michigan Street Branch at the corner of Prospect and Michigan Street is designed as a full-service operation and will include a 24/7 access ATM, two drive-through lanes, five teller stations and offices for new accounts, lending, mortgages, insurance and investment services.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Pioneer Construction and Lott3 Metz Architecture in our groundbreaking of this one of a kind branch,” said Julie Blitchok, vice president of operations and marketing, Lake Michigan Credit Union. “We have looked at the overall growth of downtown and know where we need to be to provide the most convenient service to our members. With our history of serving the health care field, the positioning of the branch is vital as Grand Rapids expands services to the Medical Mile.” CQX
