GRAND RAPIDS — Saint Mary’s Health Care has selected Wolverine Construction Management to direct the construction of its Positron Emission Tomography scanner addition.

Wolverine will build a 12,000-square-foot, two-story addition to the hospital at 200 Jefferson Ave. SE. The addition will be home to the Nuclear Medicine department and PET scanner. Three procedure rooms, a support room and the PET scanner will be on the addition’s first floor, while the second floor will be used for storage space.

“This will be a good addition to the campus and fit in well with the surrounding buildings,” said Mark Bradburn, Wolverine’s project manager.

Work on the project is set to begin this spring and finish in the fall.
