Deur Runs Bank
HOLLAND — Garth Deur has been named president and CEO of The Bank of Holland.
Richard Lievense, current president and CEO, will retain his responsibilities as the president and CEO of Lake Michigan Financial Corp., parent company for The Bank of Holland and The Bank of Northern Michigan.
Deur received an undergraduate degree from Calvin College and a graduate degree from Grand Valley State University. He was previously employed with Arthur Anderson, Prince Corp. and Gentex Corp. He joined The Bank of Holland in 2006.
In his new role Deur will be responsible for the strategic direction, long-term planning and oversight of both the Grand Rapids and Holland locations.
The Bank of Holland opened in October 1998 in Holland with a second location in Grand Rapids in May 2002. Total assets for The Bank of Holland as of December 2007 are more than $525 million.
