FARMINGTON HILLS — Grand Rapids-based Priority Health is continuing its eastward expansion by receiving state permission to offer its HMO product in Clare, Midland and Gratiot counties and part of Monroe County.

The state Office of Financial and Insurance Services has approved the expansion, Priority Health announced last week.

Priority Health also has increased coverage areas in Bay, Gladwin, Isabella and Mecosta counties and now covers all of Lenawee County. Its provider network includes MidMichigan Health in Midland; Covenant HealthCare and St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw; Bixby Medical Center in Adrian; and Herrick Medical Center in Tecumseh.

Priority Health is majority-owned by West Michigan’s largest health system, Spectrum Health.
