GRAND RAPIDS — Deloitte’s Mary Ellen Rodgers was just appointed as Deloitte’s U.S. managing partner of field operations. Lou Moran has been named to replace her as managing partner of the Grand Rapids office.

“Lou is uniquely qualified to lead our Grand Rapids practice as my successor,” Rodgers said. “He understands both the local business community and the issues shaping today’s economy. More importantly, he has demonstrated an ability to develop talent and lead people, the key elements to delivering exceptional client service.”

Paul Dunker, Deloitte’s spokesperson for the North Central Region, said Rodgers will continue to work out of the Grand Rapids office as she takes on national responsibilities for the company.

In his new position, Moran is responsible for all aspects of Deloitte’s local practice, including client services, business development, talent management and general administration. Moran said he considers himself fortunate “to inherit an office” that enjoys an excellent reputation for client service, is experiencing significant growth, and is committed to the development, retention and advancement of its employees.

“I am committed to serving West Michigan and leveraging Deloitte’s full range of services to help our community meet the challenges ahead,” Moran said. “West Michigan has positioned itself for the future through a history of entrepreneurship, creating our exceptional base of local business and the critical mass we are developing in health care, life sciences and other emerging sectors.”
