Neckers Cited For Service
GRAND RAPIDS — Bruce Neckers, an attorney with Rhoades McKee PC, will receive the Grand Rapids Bar Association’s Donald. R. Worsfold Distinguished Service Award at the May 1 Annual Law Day Celebration luncheon. The award recognizes a member of the local bar for his or her career of service to the bar, the legal profession and the community.
Grand Rapids Bar Association’s President Richard Hillary said Neckers has had a long and distinguished career in his nearly 40 years of practicing law, and that he was the “unanimous choice” for the Worsfold award, which isn’t handed out every year.
Nominations for the Worsfold award are solicited from members, officers and trustees of the local bar. Hillary also pointed out that Neckers is a past president of both GRBA and the 35,000-member State Bar of Michigan, and is one of only a handful of attorneys who have served in both those positions.
According to the local bar association, Neckers has made significant contributions to his local church and to the Reformed Church in America, is considered a trusted mediator of disputes, and has earned a reputation as one of the best trial lawyers in the state.
Neckers is a litigation specialist who practices in both state and federal court. His specialties are personal injury, products liability and business litigation. Neckers is a fellow in both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers, and he has repeatedly been ranked among the Best Lawyers in America and the Super Lawyers listings.
