GRAND RAPIDS — Ginny Seyferth’s public relations firm is morphing its name and list of principals.

Out is Christopher Tennyson, a long-time public relations executive for mall developer The Taubman Co., who joined Seyferth and Dan Spaulding as a shareholder in Seyferth Spaulding Tennyson Inc. in 1999. Tennyson, who led the firm’s Detroit office, moved closer to family in Rye, N.Y., more than one year ago, Seyferth said. She said he has left the firm.

The Grand Rapids-based public relations firm will be known as Seyferth & Associates Inc. The company started out in 1984 as Franco, Seyferth & Associates.

Spaulding remains a shareholder and now is being joined by long-time Seyferth associates Brooke Vining, senior vice president, and Vice President Eileen McNeil.

While Seyferth said the Detroit office would close, she said her firm still handles work in Southeast Michigan using contract employees.
