New space for Knights debuts

Calvin College opened its new Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex last month. The $50 million project adds 10 percent to the total square footage of the entire campus. It includes: the 5,000-seat Van Noord Arena (pictured);  Huizenga Tennis and Track Center (four courts, 200-meter track); Hoogenboom Health and Recreation Center (renovation of the former Calvin Fieldhouse); and the Marian Hoogenboom Health services (new home for student health services). The facility also features a 40-by-40-foot rock climbing wall.
