Skanska adds seven LEED accredited professionals

PORTAGE — Skanska USA Building Inc. announced that nine of its employees from the Portage office have become LEED accredited professionals. 

The individuals receiving accreditation, and the construction projects they are working on, are:

—Andy Bohr, Senior Estimator, Battle Creek and Harper Creek Schools.

—Shawn Champion, Project Superintendent, Brandon Schools.

—KC Cramer, project engineer, Mid-Michigan Health.

—Sean Jagels, estimator, Plainwell Schools.

—Amy Korte, project engineer, Battle Creek airport.

—Dan Korte, project manager, University of Notre Dame.

—Andrew Markwart, project manager, Dania Furniture.

—Brian Schrems, project manager, Plainwell Schools.

—Bruce Zache, project engineer, Lowes Home Improvement.

LEED accreditation is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council, and distinguishes construction professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Green Building Rating System.

The newly accredited professionals bring the total number of LEED accredited professionals in the Portage office to 10, with several more expected to achieve accreditation in 2009.
