Michigan quarterly gross state product dips in first quarter

Current quarter: Michigan quarterly real gross state product in the first quarter, seasonally adjusted, was $313.0 billion at constant 2000 prices. 

Previous quarter: Michigan quarterly real gross state product in the fourth quarter, seasonally adjusted: $322.2 billion at constant 2000 prices.

A year ago: Michigan quarterly gross state product in the first quarter of last year, seasonally adjusted: $329.3 billion at constant 2000 prices.

Growth in quarterly gross state product

Michigan quarterly gross state product, adjusted for seasonal factors, fell at an 11 percent annual rate in the first quarter from the previous quarter.

Michigan quarterly gross state product, adjusted for seasonal factors, dropped by a 5 percent annual rate in the first quarter from the same quarter a year ago.

National quarterly domestic product

For the nation, real gross domestic product, the national counterpart to gross state product, went down by 5.5 percent in the first quarter to $11,361 billion at constant 2000 prices, seasonally adjusted.
