Foundation Financial Group of Jacksonville, Fla., is looking for office space in Grand Rapids to open a West Michigan branch.

Jessica L. Gueterman, a spokesperson for FFG, said the company plans to hire eight to 10 people locally to staff the office, once it is opened. It is looking to lease in a shopping plaza or business park, with the ideal space expandable as its business here grows.

FFG says it is a multibillion dollar financial services corporation that has experienced “tremendous growth” over the past two years, and it was named one of the fastest growing financial companies in the country by INC magazine. It deals in insurance, retirement investments, mortgages and tax services, and has been adding more than 100,000 new customers per year in 39 states.

“We are looking to expand our physical presence in hometown markets,” said Marc Chillion, FFG senior vice president of branch operations. “It’s our goal to have 40 retail branches open and operational in the next 18 months.”

FFG recently opened its second Indianapolis retail branch office, plus others in eastern states.
