My Personal Credit Union will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony at noon tomorrow for its new branch office at 1147 W. Randall St. in Coopersville. A stand-alone facility near the Family Fare supermarket, the office is scheduled to open in mid 2013.

Anyone who lives, works or goes to church in Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon and Allegan counties can join MPCU. The credit union was founded in 1951, and its members are able to use Co-op Network’s 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs around the nation.

MPCU has five branch offices now: on Plainfield Avenue NE and Town Center SE in Grand Rapids; Port Sheldon Street in Jenison; 68th Avenue in Coopersville; and Burton Street SW in Wyoming. Daniel Baines is president of MPCU.
