The Detroit Red Wings may not take the ice at Joe Louis Arena this season, but Founders Brewing Co. and its team of beers will be.

Founders, the Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment will host a night of craft beer and gourmet food at 6 p.m., Dec. 6, at the arena in Detroit.

Founders’ wholesaler in Detroit has helped get the beers into the stadiums and arenas in Detroit, said Mike Stevens, Founders president and CEO.

“Obviously we’re distributed statewide and the second largest brewery in the state,” Stevens said. “We’re just going along with it and it’s good exposure for our brand.”

The dinner prepared by Olympia Entertainment Executive Chef John Borso will pair five beers with a five-course meal, with Dave Engers, Founders co-founder and director of brand and education, leading the evening.

Tickets are $55 and available through OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre, Joe Louis Arena box offices and Ticketmaster.
