Videos: Gov. Snyder backs right to work; Rep. Dillon speaks against bills
The Republican-controlled Legislature passed right-to-work bills Thursday that Gov. Rick Snyder is expected to sign into law next week.
The passed bills effectively prohibit private unions from requiring that non-union employees pay fees, according to AP.
Democrats, including President Obama, view the bills as anti-worker rights. The GOP believes a right-to-work law will make the state more attractive to employers and generate jobs.
