Steelcase, Herman Miller and Stanley InnerSpace land health care contracts
Steelcase, Herman Miller and Kentwood-based Stanley InnerSpace have nailed down sizeable agreements with the health care alliance Premier to supply modular casework, storage systems and mobile carts.
The companies have access to the alliance’s network of more than 2,700 hospitals and 90,000 health care facilities, with special negotiated pricing and terms.
The economic impact of the agreement is unknown, according to Premier communications specialist Morgan Bridges.
“There is no way to tell how many purchases/agreements will be made by members for each supplier over the next year, as that is the choice of each member and each member has a unique need,” Bridges said.
The three West Michigan suppliers join InterMetro Industries Corp. of Wilkes Barre, Pa., Lakeside Manufacturing of Milwaukee and Neocase of Winston Salem, N.C.
The agreement began on Oct. 15 for Steelcase, Herman Miller and InterMetro and is effective until June 30, 2015. The agreement for Lakeside Manufacturing, Neocase and Stanley InnerSpace went into effect July 1.
