Lambert, Edwards & Associates reps University Research Corridor
Lambert, Edwards & Associates was selected as the PR firm of record by the University Research Corridor, which consists of Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.
URC is focused on transforming, strengthening and diversifying the state’s economy through supporting innovation, educating students, attracting talented workers to Michigan and encouraging the transfer of technology to the private sector.
According to a recent study by Lansing-based Anderson Economic Group, the alliance’s economic impact on Michigan is $15.5 billion.
“We’re excited to share our experience at the local, regional and national levels in promoting the URC’s enormous economic contributions to Michigan’s economy,” said Jeff Lambert, LE&A president and managing partner. “The URC is a unique collaboration with remarkable potential, and we’re looking forward to working with the three universities to spread the word about how their efforts are making a difference in Michigan’s competitiveness, economic sustainability and capacity for innovation.”
The company said it would provide the URC with a wide array of services, including marketing communications, social media development and public affairs. It pointed out its experience with automotive, education and health care as particularly important to its future work with the URC.
Additionally, LE&A’s focus will include helping the URC tell its story to businesses, policymakers, key opinion leaders, media, taxpayers, investors and higher education officials, as well as the administrators, faculty and students at the three URC universities.
“We selected LE&A because of its unique combination of strengths in Michigan, on the national stage and in the key markets on which we focus,” said URC Executive Director Jeff Mason. “We’re excited about the tremendous opportunity we have to grow the awareness and impact of the University Research Corridor, and believe the talent and expertise at LE&A will help get us there.”
