The annual West Michigan Women’s Expo is celebrating its 15th year as it fills DeVos Place for the weekend with more than 400 women owned and women-focused businesses on display.

“We invite all women throughout the West Michigan area to join us for a weekend of education, entertainment and enjoyment,” said Denise Kolesar, president of Kohler Expos, which promotes the event each year. “This year, we’ll be bringing in many new exhibitors and speakers who will showcase hundreds of products and services all under a single roof. Longtime Expo favorites, such as local fashion boutiques and a variety of hair styling techniques, will also return for the three-day run of the show.”

In addition to browsing and sampling the many products and services on display, Women’s Expo also has a full roster of speakers and demonstrations lined up.

Presentations on Pinterest projects and hula-hoop fitness are just a couple of highlights attendees can partake in this year. Additionally, the Meijer Cooking Stage will be fired up throughout the weekend with cooking demonstrations focused on healthy recipes and family meals.

There will also be onsite beauty services available, including massages, hair styling and waxing.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to try many food samples, including custom cookies, cakes and pastries, salsa and jams, chocolates and toffees, bottled waters and coffee, Watkins spices, flavored oils and other items.

For visitors not content to stay within the walls of DeVos Place, the Great Lakes Pub Cruiser will be back in action, allowing groups of 10 to pedal their way around the city from pub to pub to enjoy the best local brews.

The Expo will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. Advance tickets and group sales are $7 each and are available at all area Meijer stores. Admission at the door is $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 6-14.
