West Michigan’s Cabela’s will officially be open for business Thursday.

The world famous outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear kicks off its grand opening at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, at its new 88,000-square-foot store in Bucktown at 3000 44th St. SW, Grandville.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will include special guests Tommy Millner, Cabela’s CEO, and Grandville Mayor James Buck. Professional hunter Chad Schearer, host of “Shoot Straight TV,” plans to pull a trick from Robin Hood’s quiver and split the ribbon with an arrow.

The grand opening weekend also will include giveaways, raffles, fish feeding, Dutch Oven cooking demonstrations and youth archery lessons.
