In honor of National Garden Month, travel review site TripAdvisor has compiled a list of the 10 best gardens in the United States — and Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park ranks eighth on the list.

Meijer Gardens spans 132 acres and includes natural wetlands, woodlands, meadows and display gardens.

Visitors enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor garden experiences: Tropical, arid, carnivorous, Victorian and seasonal gardens are housed indoors, while winding trails provide walkers and trolley riders the opportunity to see the park’s Farm Garden, English Perennial and Bulb Garden, Woodland Shade Garden and the Amphitheater Garden.

In the spring of 2015, Meijer Gardens will add a Japanese garden to its list, with the completion of the $22 million Richard and Helen DeVos Japanese Garden.
