ArtPrize now has an official brewery.

Founders Brewing Co. has signed on to be a lead sponsor of the internationally acclaimed art festival for the next five years.

The brewery and festival look to grow as brands together.

“We approached ArtPrize, because we love this community, and we love what the event has done for this city,” Founders co-founder and CEO Mike Stevens said. “Our taproom has been a venue since year one, so we anticipate ArtPrize, just like everyone else. We chose to increase our commitment this year and can’t wait to pair our world-class beer with the most engaging art event in the world.”

The partnership will include Founders beer at all ArtPrize events, as well as signs and special merchandise throughout the 19-day festival.

The brewery will be included as a major sponsor on all promotional material.

Both organizations are deeply rooted in the community and have helped the city’s re-emergence, ArtPrize interim executive director Daryn Kuipers said.

"ArtPrize is always open to new, strategic ways to partner with leading and emerging national brands. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome them as the exclusive brewery of ArtPrize,” Kuipers said.

This year’s ArtPrize runs Sept. 18 to Oct. 6.
