Davenport University names Damon Gonzales VP of facilities and management
Davenport University has found its new vice president of facilities and management in Damon Gonzales, CFM.
Gonzales, who is a certified facilities manager and member of the International Facilities Management Association, will start at Davenport on May 20.
He currently serves as Haworth’s real estate and facilities manager and previously served as facilities manager for Collier County, Fla.
Gonzales will be responsible for leading and managing the department’s personnel, finances and equipment relating to Davenport’s physical operations, which includes construction and renovation projects.
He also will head the development and implementation of programs and policies on Davenport construction, maintenance and care of physical assets, such as the building upkeep and grounds.
Gonzales, who has completed graduate work toward his MBA, received a bachelor’s degree in facilities management from Ferris State University.
“Damon brings considerable experience in facilities management to Davenport University,” said Mike Volk, Davenport executive vice president of finance and CFO. “We have an ambitious vision for this university, and our campus facilities across the state of Michigan play an important role in our growth.”
