GR Spring & Stamping allies with Automatic Spring Products Corp.
GR Spring & Stamping in Grand Rapids has formed a strategic alliance with Automatic Spring Products Corp. in Grand Haven, to enable both companies to “leverage each other’s product strengths, while allowing for continued focus on core manufacturing strategies,” according to their joint announcement.
Terms of the agreement between the two companies were not released.
GRS&S is a custom manufacturer of stamped metal components and assemblies for the automotive, furniture, medical and electronic industries.
GRS&S' capabilities include both progressive and transfer stamping with bed sizes up to 19 feet, plus assembly, welding, gluing, riveting, testing and robotic cell technology.
With headquarters in northeast Grand Rapids, GRS&S employs more than 600 associates at plants in West Michigan and Kentucky.
ASPC's capabilities include compression, extension and torsion springs and four slide and stampings up to 200 tons with vertical integration to support ASPC core competencies. Four slide is a metalworking machine tool for high-volume production of small stamped parts from bar or wire stock.
ASPC employs more than 320 at facilities in Grand Haven and Monterey, Mexico.
