DK Security secures $1.5M contract with Ford airport
Grand Rapids-based DK Security has been awarded a three year, $1.5-million contract by the Kent County Airport Board to provide unarmed security guard services at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
To meet the 800 hours per week of security services required by the airport contract, the firm expects to hire an additional 20 employees.
The security guard services will include postings at the terminal curb and various vehicular gates.
“We are honored to have this opportunity to represent Kent County and our hometown airport and even more pleased that a Kent County-based company is now providing these services,” said DK Security Executive Vice President Kathryn Kendall. “We look forward to providing hospitality-oriented security services and helping to make the patrons’ experience at the airport friendly and positive.”
DK Security has been in business since 1994.
The company has grown from $5 million in annual revenue in 2005 to more than $15 million in expected revenue in 2013.
