Barnes & Thornburg LLP ranks among the country’s top trademark law firms in Intellectual Property Today’s list of 2013 Top Trademark Firms.

With a total of 663 registrations, Barnes & Thornburg is fifth in the nation for the highest number of U.S. trademark registrations issued in 2012.

“Our ranking as one of the top firms for trademark prosecution underscores the breadth of our trademark practice and is consistent with our reputation as a top-tier national intellectual property practice,” said Thomas Donovan, chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Intellectual Property Department.

The firm’s 2012 trademark registrations represent a nearly 62 percent jump from trademarks registered in 2011 and highlight the trademark practice’s ever-growing national prominence.

The trademark group actively manages more than 15,000 trademarks and has handled more than 50,000 trademarks globally across all classes.

Barnes & Thornburg assists clients in several aspects of trademark law, including trademark clearances; selecting new names, marks and slogans; obtaining worldwide trademark registrations; maintaining portfolios; licensing trademarks; franchising; and enforcing trademark rights.
