Looking for a new beer with a breakfast flavor?

Brewery Vivant will release its Blandford Maple Amber Ale today at 6 p.m.

The tapping will include a tasting with the staff from Blandford Nature Center, 1715 Hillburn Ave. NW, which will receive $1 from every pint sold.

The beer comes in at 6 percent alcohol by volume and was produced by using 20 gallons of maple syrup as part of the brewing process.

Brewery Vivant approached the nature center in March with the proposition for the small-batch beer.

Blandford Nature Center is a nonprofit wildlife education organization located on 143 acres of land on the west side of Grand Rapids.
