Muskegon-based janitorial cleaning supply company Nichols has acquired Industrial Cleaning Supply, which serves metro Detroit.

Waterford-based ICS has been a family owned and operated janitorial/sanitation distributor for more than 40 years. Jack and Sharon Miller purchased the business in 1976 and it has grown to $5 million in annual sales with 19 employees serving the Greater Detroit area.

“We are excited to have Industrial Cleaning Supply become a part of Nichols,” said Mike Olthoff, owner of Nichols. “They have always been a highly regarded company and this acquisition will substantially enhance our presence in southeastern Michigan. We are very pleased that Jack Miller and Shannon Budzynski will be staying with ICS and will play an important part in its future success.”

Nichols noted that the acquisition is part of the company’s strategic plan for continued growth and expansion.
