The Chronicle based the findings on a survey of about 45,000employees at 300 colleges and universities nationwide.
The survey findings are based on an institutional audit of the school demographics and workplace policies and a survey of school administrators, faculty and support staff.
The Chronicle, working through the human capital consulting firm ModernThink, recognized schools in 12 categories.
“This is a very satisfying affirmation of Davenport University’s ongoing commitment to our faculty and staff,” said Dr. Richard Pappas, Davenport president. “To achieve our ambitious vision for this university, our faculty and staff need to be engaged and in synch with where we’re going. Bricks and mortar are important, but it’s our people who will have the greatest impact on students, as we help them achieve success in the classroom and in their careers.”
GRCC President Steven Ender said, “Our talented faculty and staff are the key reasons so many in the community find success at GRCC. All of us — employees, administrators and students — have benefitted from the stimulating and collaborative work environment here.”
