Thomas M. Cooley Law School has named Monty Moyer its new assistant vice president of operations.

Moyer’s job will be to oversee building operations, maintenance, construction and classroom technical support across Cooley’s five campuses in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Auburn Hills and Tampa Bay, Fla.

Moyer has held a number of positions at Cooley since 1992.

Previously, he worked as the director of building operations, audio-visual director and maintenance director.

“Cooley is the best place to work. I have to thank everyone who has helped me get to where I am,” Moyer said. “I am excited for the future of Cooley.”

Moyer will be taking over the position formerly held by Layne Maloney, who was promoted to Cooley’s vice president for operations earlier this year.
