CNN recently admitted its compilation of the “22 can’t-miss U.S. beaches” doesn’t even begin to cover the more than 12,000 miles of quality coastline in America.

Therefore, CNN compiled an online gallery of “20 more can’t miss U.S. beaches.”

The gallery at CNN Travel isn’t limited to the East and West coasts, either, with a handful of Midwest beaches being featured for their beauty.

Grand Haven Beach is featured in the gallery, and CNN recognizes the beach as a family vacation destination, with a musical fountain, boardwalk, lighthouses and historic downtown.

CNN highlights several other West Michigan beaches in an article introducing its selection of "can't-miss" beaches: South Haven, Holland State Park, Oval Beach in Saugatuck and Warren Dunes State Park in southwest Michigan.

Northern Michigan's Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is also featured in the "can't-miss" gallery, thanks to its 35 miles of coastline, lengthy hiking trails and historical attributes, including an 1871 lighthouse.

It’s time to visit these great beaches — fall is fast approaching.
