FoolMoon processional lights up downtown
The Grand Rapids Public Museum has teamed up with WonderFool Productions to create a night of illumination and revelry this Saturday.
Hundreds of lanterns
The moonlit event will feature a fantastic procession of handmade illuminated sculptures carried by dancing teams of merrymakers, as they thread their way through downtown Grand Rapids, ending at the Public Museum.
The processional begins at dusk or approximately 7:30 p.m.
Artists are creating hundreds of glowing handmade sculptural lanterns in preparation for the illuminated extravaganza.
Pageant participants and revelers alike can follow the FoolMoon processional to the afterglow party on the south lawn of Grand Rapids Public Museum.
The party will feature treats and spirits, plus a roving shadow-puppet performance, experimental wall-sized video game, club dancing to DJ Scout and more.
