Women's fashion retailer fits into West Michigan
A national women’s clothing retailer that specializes in dresses has entered the West Michigan market.
What was once the top floor of the Old Navy at RiverTown Crossings has been transformed into the retailer Windsor.
The retailer sells formal and casual dresses, as well as tops, jackets, bottoms, accessories and shoes.
The store marks Windsor’s seventh location in Michigan.
“We have six stores in the Detroit market, and with the way Grand Rapids is growing, we just felt it was the perfect place to fit in,” said store manager Kelly Fogle. “We’ve had a lot of customers come to Detroit and say they wish we were here. This city is booming.”
No more Michigan stores are planned any time soon, but the company may look at opening a store in northern Michigan, Fogle said.
Fogle said the store has been well received by the market since opening last month.
“So far, we’re doing amazing things in the time that we’ve been here,” Fogle said. “Number wise, we’re blowing projections out of the water. Yesterday, we increased our day by 182 percent more than what we’d been planning to.
“We’re very excited to be here, and we look forward to seeing the community shopping, because Christmas is tomorrow — at least that’s what it feels like,” added Fogle.
The Windsor store has 11 employees, and more employees will be needed as the holiday approaches, Fogle said.
Anyone who’d like to apply for a job can come to the store to fill out an application or visit the website.
